Here's a detail of my mural on the Unfinished Furniture Building on Taughannock Blvd in Ithaca from 2007. It's 20' x 10', painted with exterior Benjamin Moore paints.
This is a typical Ithaca landscape with a little whimsy. I wanted to paint something unexpected for the viewer, to put a smile on peoples' faces when they drive by. This was paid for by a CAP II grant.
Here's the whole mural:

West End Mural
Welcome to my blog! I thought we'd start out with one of my biggest projects in Ithaca, NY, where I currently live. This is a historic representation of Ithaca in the early 1900's dealing with the different modes of transportation that helped develop the Ithaca we know today. Did you know that there used to be an airplane factory in Ithaca? The Hangar Theatre now occupies the former airplane factory site (hence the name).
This is my mural, on an 80' x 30' wall, on the the Bang's Ambulance building in downtown Ithaca, painted for the Alternatives Federal Credit Union in 2004. Painted with exterior Benjamin Moore paints in 2004.
